Has anyone found that applying their gel at night better for sleep? I'm on a phase of waking up in the early hours (currently apply my gel in the mornings) and wondering about trying it at night instead?
-
I use my Estrogel at night, well two pumps and one in the morning.
I have slept really well since I started HRT.

Hi Liz - after much trial and error and advice from ladies on here, I now split my dose two thirds morning and one third evening. I don't sleep well if I don't put it on in the evening. Having said that, some women ate fine with one application per day but you could give it a go and see if it helps.

Thanks both of you - that sounds encouraging. I'm going to use my gel tonight (didn't put it on this morning). Fingers crossed it will help - fed up with waking up around 4am and not being able to get back to sleep!

God it's horrible! And somehow worse in the winter.
Good luck.

I have recently swapped to PM applying about 10.00pm , and so far I am sleeping better. Only time will tell.

I know, Dawn. I feel absolutely shattered today! :(

Thanks Maryjane. Can i ask how long you've tried it for so far?

Been on HRT for a year and swapped two weeks ago.

Hi Liz - how did it go last night? Big zzzzz's?

Hi - well, not counting my chickens yet, but it was better! Woke up once but not so early....... trying it again tonight. Thanks for asking.

I'm trying my arm for application as well....... I read that more is absorbed there (only using 1.5 pump per day).
-
Hi Liz - with oestrogel I found that arm was by far the best absorption area. I'm now using sandrena and it's ok on lower body.

I think I've absorbed better on my lower arm (from wrist to elbow, so keeping away from boobs)......I've felt much better today. I used to use inner thighs but read that arms are better for absorption (Dr Annie article). Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight with your Sandrena!
-
Arm was always more potent with oestrogel for me.
Sweet dreams.

Am stressing now as I've read that you shouldn't apply to arms (too near boobs)......wonder if I could apply to back of calves?
-
Darling please don't stress about it - the product manufacturer sanctions it and my meno specialist (prob the most eminent in the U.K.) says you can put it anywhere - obviously except breasts. I think Annie Evans or Dr Currie also recommend arm use.
It never worked on calves for me. But it does for some women.

Thanks Dawn, really appreciate your support. Hope you have a restful night's sleep. x

Hi Liz
I see the discussion changed to site of application rather than time of day, but I have already replied (at length ::) ) re this on your other thread!
