My daughter lives in NZ South Island, we visited Christ Church four years ago and it was very sad.

No. Not panicking as no news is good news , she lives in the sticks and has dreadful reception at the best of times.

Fortunately tsunami wasn't as big as feared. I guess if you live in earthquake regions you get used to the earth moving. Not sure I could. I know we get quakes in the UK, but most go unnoticed.

This was more than 'moving' though this was BIG!  Did anyone see the poor cows and calf stuck on a ridge in the middle of nowt ……..  :-\

Daughter rang is fine . Also the cows are fine CLKD, they were rescued .
