Hi,
I'm a bit confused as to where I am in menopause. Can anyone help please?
Had ovary removed in 2006 & other in 2008.
Have been on hrt since 2008 (although coming off at the moment).
I am 44.
Am I post menopausal? How do you tell? What is the criteria for being peri/post?
Thanks.

As Menomale says - you therefore became post-menopausal in 2008. This means that for the purposes of investigation, aside from the first month or so when you may have had a residual cycle and shedding occur (and a bleed) any bleeding should be investigated - and not to wait 12 months before going to the doc if you experience any bleeding. This is because you have kept your uterus and the lining should not thicken without ovaries producing oestrogen. Is this why you were asking?

Thanks all,
No, Hurdity, I was just curious. Was a bit confused as to where I was, so to speak!
Thanks
