Does anyone suffer with a really dry and cold nose and also a dry mouth? The dry nose has been going on for 6 months. There doesn't seem to be any mucus inside so when I breath in it feels horrid.

I did until I started HRT a year ago.

Thanks Sparkle. It's all a nightmare isn't it?

Lack of oestrogen causes everything to dry out. The loss of collagen is terrible when the oestrogen is no longer doing it's magic. I use saline nasal spray quite a bit to help reduce the awful dryness in my nose. Of course when I'm out walking, particularly when it's cold, my nose just runs like a tap :-X So either really dry or really runny, yuk!!! Dg x

Thanks Dancinggirl
I didn't know that the drop in estrogen can cause that

We ought to have a 'sticky' - as oestrogen levels drop so the body dries, inside and out: nostrils, deep in the ears, eustachian tubes can narrow, vagina, skin ……
As oestrogen levels drop muscles can become lax = aches and pains.

I now suffer a cold nose and all of a sudden a runny nose out of nowhere! started late last year
I do feel too it is hormone related and at the beginning a dry mouth that one not as bad as before now!
