Title: Sterilisation and early menopause
Post by: clare663 on October 13, 2016, 02:16:41 PM
Hi all. Just out of curiosity, how many of you were sterilised and felt you went into the menopause far earlier than you were expecting? Personnally I was sterilised at 34 and was peri meno by 38. I am now 49 and 5 years post meno.

Hi. I believe I'm in Peri along with my GP but not on HRT . GP won't start HRT unless my periods stop before I'm 45 still have periods although closer together and only light.
I was sterilised when I was 29 and had problems ever since

I was sterilised in my late 20s.  Had PMT in my mid-30s which was supposedly due to the surgical intervention but I never believed it.  Didn't have a particularly early end to my periods.

Hi I was sterilised at 26 and have been peri for 3 years, I'm 49 so I don't think that's to bad, although I have had a rubbish peri, gggrrrr. Not seen no period now for nearly 6 months, hopefully getting there. Not used hrt either, just got through everyday as well as I could. Good luck
