Title: first hot flush for awhile
Post by: walking the dog on July 28, 2016, 07:21:21 PM
Had a flush this evening it started with prickly heat feeling on my face then hot sensation unserarms and back neck forehead all over it lasted about ten minutes. Its the first one since I went on esteadoit patches in February. However I have for first month ever been taking 200 micronized progesterone since 1st July continually, period been coming in.past between 1/7 month , felt some period type cramping past couple days but no bleed. Can the flushing be related to the huge dosage of progesterone? Should I be on higher estradoit than 50 to balance it all out ?

I've reduced my Estradot to 50mg, no progesterone and I was flushing for a few days, I've never had flushes but these started round my midriff and made me very hot
Progesterone competes with oestrogen so maybe that's why you're getting them ?

I think it was a blip as hasn't happened again.
I'm now on day 30 of continuos micronised progesterone and so far so good , no breakthrough bleeding or spotting and my mood is as good as it can be, not better but certainly not worse.
I know its early days , only the first month and anything could happen but continuous utrogestran seems to be suiting me
