Title: Discharge

Hi I am 57 and had my last period 7years ago since then I have had no bleeding or discharge but the last couple of days I have had a white discharge which smells a bit also I have had slight cystitis I had a smear earlier this year and that was fine just wondering if anyone else had experienced this thanks Carol xxx

The 'cystitis' could be the start of vaginal atrophy.  Have a read round the various VA threads.  You say that the discharge is smelly so needs investigation.

Your  Dr surgery nurse should be able to do a high swab to test for all the possible infection reasons for a discharge without you needing to see  a Dr.  I have  certainly had this done in the past at my surgery.

This would rule out any fungal/bacteria reason for the discharge.
