Title: Coming off Evoril Conti
Post by: jgr on July 24, 2016, 08:40:28 PM
Hi ladies, i have been on Evoril Conti patches for 5 years now and after a second recall for a mammogram (all ok) and an increse in ectopic heartbeats, i decided to come off it. I was on a full patch and every couple of weeks i have cut a little bit off the patch, i am now down to a little less than 1/4 of a patch with no bad symptoms returning. and extopics seem to be less frequent,  So hopefully in a couple more weeks i will have stopped it completely, i will keep you updated on any change. Hope it goes well for you jgr. I think that if, by the end of three months without any patch at all, your symptoms are not returning then you should be ok.

It's strange how different we all are - I have ectopic beats when I'm not on HRT!

I am also on Thyroxine Taz and the cardiologist said that both of these medications can increase palpatations and ectopics, i can't come off the Thyroxine so this is another reason i am coming off hrt, if it gets bad again i will most certainly go back on it. I also take Omeprozole and after reading a post on here that it can cause ectopics i am also trying to reduce this. Hopefully all will be well.xx
