Title: Advice please
Post by: margaret on July 21, 2016, 06:23:52 PM
Hi Ladies, I'm going to hospital on Tuesday the 26th July for a cystoscopy on my bladder and he's also going to check the tissues in my vagina for Vaginal Atrophy as I have had a lot of water infections.  My question is I'm using Estriol cream every other night and I want to know will I stop using it a few days before the procedure so he can get a better view of what's going on.

Hi margaret - I would phone the hospital for advice as different hospitals seem to have different views. Better to ask rather than get there and find that the cream makes it more difficult to assess the vaginal tissue.

Let us know how you get on. I didn't find the cystoscopy procedure bad at all but do remember to keep drinking water afterwards to help flush the bladder out.
