GP thinks my recent episodes are due in part to lack of sleep caused by my restless legs. He's prescribed Pramipexole. Anyone else been given this?
-
Nope, but magnesium definitely helps.
-
I tried magnesium spray, it exacerbated the problem.

This has a lot of useful information. Apparently Mag' defincency only one of many triggers.
Have never heard of Pramipexole, to be honest, but would be inclined to fine a natural solution first.

restless legs can be also due to low potassium. Bananas are high in potassium. I try to eat a smallish banana or two each day. When I don't I certainly notice more in the way of reslessness in my legs at night.
-
Tried bananas also. Oh heck. Anyway I've taken a tablet tonight & will see.

We have threads on this already, it can be such a nuisance ………. certainly was a problem for me over the years but once I ate several bananas daily, every day, within 5 nights the legs stopped . If necessary I take Nurofen 30 mins. B4 bed.

I know there are many threads CLKD, I've read them. Tried the various suggestions too, but was wanting to know if anyone had been given this medication & if it had worked. :)

Hope it is helpful for you cubagirl :)

Well feel so horrid this morning. Banging headache, severe nausea, dizzy and was up having a wee all night long. Doubt I'll continue with this. Also had another of my deja vu attacks. Doctor reckons they're caused by my lack of sleep, which in turn is caused by the restless legs. Vicious circle.
