Just wondering has anyone tried these for relief from hot flushes?
-
I've tried them twice & both times they didn't help. However, don't let that put you off, they do work for some. Everyone is different.
-
My doctor mentioned them last time I saw her, I just wondered what people's thoughts are. Can you only take them at bedtime if you want. I can cope with the flushes just about during the day, its the nighttime thats the killer.

Do you not want to/can't try HRT?
If you use the search feature you may find info on the Clonidine.
-
I've been on HRT for 5 years just came off it 2 months ago and struggling with hot flushes.

Hi Zelda - I've got two friends who have done really well on Clonidine for their flushes so it can work!
Why did you come off HRT if you don't mind me asking as it seems you do still need it? Sorry if I've forgotten!

I came off it as I have been on it 5 years and also its very expensive to buy in Ireland. Also my doctor has been recommending Clonidine for the past year instead of HRT.

Sorry to hear about the expense zelda :(.

It worked great for my hot flushes but I had to stop it as it caused me headaches

I wonder could you just take it at night as it would cut down the expense for me if I did not take tablets during the day.
