I am new to all this so sorry for all the posts. I keep getting weird random pains everywhere. Ovary area, back, side, front, sharp pains, shooting pains, dull aches in one place and then they move. Feel like i am dropping to pieces. I have an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound on Saturday and i am convincing myself something will be found because of all these weird pains and feelings.

Sounds about normal to me. I often go 'ouch' as another shooting pain goes through me somewhere, can't go the GP 'cos it's random ::). As oestrogen levels drop off muscles can become lax allowing annoying various aches and pains ::). Make sure that you ask on Sat. though to put your mind at rest!

Oh yes, the lovely menopausal pains...shooting, stabbing, aching, throbbing, tingling...it's wise to get it checked out if it's persistent in one area, but it is a very, very common symptom. Mine migrate round my body. Lower back, left knee and hands & feet today. Yesterday it was shoulders, arms and left hip...at least the variation stops it getting boring ;)

I've had painful knees when walking downstairs, not every day and not often enough to visit the GP but it makes me go ouch! Not both knees at once. Next week it will be somewhere else ::)

Hello Zipster - I have a similar story to tell, lots of pains moving about, coming and going, nothing I can put my finger on as such. I know it's anxious making to have a scan though checking things out is also a really positive thing, you will feel much better afterwards and feel more informed. I hope it goes well.
