I've had itchy skin for a while, I suspect it started when I was peri menopause mainly underarms at first, now the centre of my neck as well.
I'm quite good at not scratching, but I suspect when I'm sleeping that I do. Neck is the most troublesome and I now have a permanent red blotch which almost seems like a scar now. The skin has a different dry texture to the rest of my skin and seems to look more aged than the rest.
I had hoped that hrt would sort it amongst the other menopause issues, but no luck. In fact it seems to be a bit more itchy. Using e45 anti-itch at the moment but not really sorting it. Seems to be worse on waking and when I shower, or if I'm hot.
Just wondered if any others have the same and what do you use (before I trouble the dr).

Aveeno is good, but the one on prescription, not just the lotion. It is available to buy too I think over the counter, but you might need to ask a pharmacist

It's my insteps that itch, OK in the day time but as soon as I take off socks at night and get into the bath, they begin, I find myself using one heel on the other instep in the night ::). A drop of oestrogen = dryness. For a while it was my back in the evening ………. let us know how you get on with Aveeno.
