Title: Better days but returned with a vengeance
Post by: Midnight Shadow on April 06, 2016, 06:29:45 AM
Hello again girls, pleased to say I have had a much better week, but this morning at 3.00 am the burning  and prickly sensation has come back with a vengeance. Couldn't sleep.Anyone else feel as though they have been stung by nettles. Guess being on holiday, I am sitting too much in cafes, meeting up with friends for lunch. Will try and walk more today.Dread spending a penny because that irritates the whole area.  Sorry to be moaning again, but sick of it now. Roughly how long does the oral HRT take to work?. Been on it three weeks now. Replies always appreciated. Take care all of you and have a trouble free day.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I have found it a long term thing.  Been on oestrogen for 6 months and still get flare ups.  Settles on vagifem but starts again after stopping . I have just put some posts on about how when taking the progesterone it completely goes.  But after doing my 7 days of progesterone it's back with a vengeance along with a load of my other complaints? ?

Thanks for your reply Katie, do understand it could be a long term thing. Did have it last year and when off work for six months with Balance issues the Atrophy all subsided. Wasn't sitting at school on small plastic chairs, Doctors have said that all aggravates it. That was when I stopped taking the Vagifem, now realise that was a big mistake. Guess the oestrogen Kliovance and Vagifem will take time to get in the tissues again.  Hope you have a good day. Take care. Anne.

Apply a good lubricant or LIVE yoghurt to keep the tissues softer ;-)

Thanks CLKD have managed to get some Epaderm ointment from Boots chemist, came recommended on a forum / blog for vaginal atrophy. Have used it once and it was very soothing. Acts as a barrier cream to help when I have spent a penny. Will try the yogurt again.  Do you find it stings rather like a nettle sting?  Mine seems to burn more a little further forward than the Vagina area in the fold of the skin.  Thanks for the advice. Anne.
