Please help me. I've been on Prempak c for nearly 2 months and my depression is through the roof! Could it be this that's causing it?  I just want to curl up and disappear

Sorry to hear you feel like this Winkle.
Unfortunately this is a very old fashioned type of HRT - it consists of horse oestrogens and a synthetic progestogen and happens to be the cheapest. Some women are fine on them but I have read of others who react badly to them. 3 months is the usual period of time to try an HRT type to see if it suits you but in this case I wouldn't want to be on this type at all so I would change if you can!
Depending on your age and stage in menopause I would suggest you try Femoston - 1 mg or 2 mg depending on what dose of prempak you were on. This contains bio-identical estradiol (same as in our bodies) and the progestogen is very close to our own progesterone and generally well tolerated.

Thanks Hurdity. I'm on 0.625, I'm 48 and in very early stages

I was first out in Prempack-c, I didn't have any bad symptoms of menopause, just night sweats, hair loss and forgetfulness.  First couple of weeks felt great, was sleeping brilliantly, then the mood swings started (and I didn't have them before).
I went back to doc and she gave me Femoston, it's brilliant.
