I see she is now a "Guest"
It's a shame that she's gone.
Anybody know what's happened?
-
Nope - wish ladies would say before they leave so that we can wish them well and offer on-going cyber support :'(
-
Did she give any clues in her last posts?
-
The last post I've found was on March 6th in "What have you done today"
It seemed fine, nothing out of sorts there.
Don't know whether there are other posts tucked away somewhere.
-
She needs to take a break. Nothing particular happened that she said. I don't know why she decided not to say she was leaving. I, for one, will miss her greatly :(
-
Yes maybe. I needed a break around Christmas but it didn't work. I kept 'visiting' and then I would find a post that I wanted to contribute to ::)
-
Hopefully she will come back.
Mind you, it is easy to spend a bit too much time on here though ::)

Time spent with friends is never wasted ;)

:thankyou:
It's on my card that I will give to my friend whose husband died suddenly in Dec., she has a birthday soon and 'happy birthday' doesn't seem appropriate.

:) I like too!

:thankyou:
Pity Gal went without giving us a wave :-\ however ………..

Yes it's easy to get sucked in! Of course it's great to ask for/receive support about menopausal issues - which after all is what the forum's for - but it is a form of escapism too, so in no way is a substitute for REAL LIFE!!!! Like video games and social media. I can see why you might want to leave rather than just stop posting because of the temptation to do so (ie post). We are all free to do what we want and no-one should ever feel guilty for leaving without saying they are doing so! In fact I always think it's more weird when women draw attention to themselves by making an announcement that they are leaving or whatever. Personally I would prefer just to fade out unnoticed, so I will just stop posting when I've had enough or if circumstances change. This forum is just a temporary staging post for most - but some of us have stayed a bit longer ::)
Anyway bye bye Galadriel if you are reading this - but I hope not and you have moved on if that's what you wanted!!
Hurdity x :)
-
Gosh Hurdity, I can't imagine you 'fading away'. ;D
-
I find it quite insulting that ladies don't at least wave 'bye bye' - a 'thank you for your support and now I'm taking some time away' is enough.
-
Perhaps they have things going on in their lives.
It's easier to click a button rather than type a post
-
Just wanted to say to Gal.... If you read this ...thank you for your responses to my posts and for the support you offered me.
I hope you are okay and maybe someday you will come back to join us again :thankyou: :thankyou:

I wouldn't take it personally CLKD. Sometimes these things are spur of the moment decisions.
The real world has a lot more trouble and strife than what happens on here. ;)
-
In my Tact and Diplomacy thread I was advised 'you don't have to justify yourself'. Well neither does Galadriel especially as we don't know what led her to leave. Shall we just let her go and wish her well instead of picking her decision apart and trying to read more into it than perhaps there is :)

Very true BJ.
-
I just miss her. Lovely lady.
-
......which is what I also said (ie she doesn't need to explain and should be free to leave) but I just got a snippy comment :(
Hurdity x
-
Hurdity - I didn't see anything that looked like snippy comment..........
-
Ditto BJ.
