Hi every one, I know there are a few of you who live in Wales so can any one recommend a really nice part of Wales for a holiday. We went to south Wales last year but would like another part this year. Thank you

We'll be holidaying in Snowdonia area later this year. Wonderful scenery, castles etc.

Hi. Spent many years when in-laws had a caravan in Ruthin, North Wakes but the area around Betsy Coed (prob spelt wrong!) is beautiful.

Aberystwyth. National Library of Wales. Lived there for 8+ years. Lots of walks. Coast. Not far from Aberaeron (honey ice-cream and good fish and chips) and on to New Quay (south) though the walk from the car park at the top from the beach is STEEP! Llanilar has an old Mansion on the road towards Tregaron. There's a lovely lake (name escapes me) through Penrhyncoch up a road, up a narrower road and beyond - at the right time one can pick bilberries. Red kites everywhere. Pony trekking.
Borth and Ynylas Dunes: opposite Aberdovey: for a day. Machynlleth along the Dovey for antiques and history. Further round, Aberdovey and Barmouth for a day.
Bow Street is where the 'runners' had their Quarterly Assizes. Have a look at the Tourist Information on-line for places of interest.

Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Anglesey. North Wales is far more 'welsh' than south wales and you are more likely to hear the language spoken too :)

Thank you so much for all your replies, I've got lots of places to start researching now.

"how friendly is your town" shows a lovely picture of Aberystwyth taken from Constitution Hill - where there is a telescope thingy …….. the walk over the top of Consti to Clarach and back is worth the slog on a fine day ;)
I've had a nostalgic trip round Aber. courtesy of googlemaps ;-).

I live in Carmarthenshire star35 which is lovely. We really like Pembrokeshire though - scenery is quite spectacular but like most of Wales very weather dependant. Hope you have a lovely time wherever you go .
CLKD - agree about Aberaeron and the honey ice cream - lovely xx

Years ago we used to stay about a mile outside St David's and it was gorgeous. I hope it is still as unspoilt as it was then.

There was a very small chocolate shop at St David's ;)

We used to stay in Barmouth http://barmouth-wales.co.uk/
