Meeka - Utrogestan is a natural bio identical progesterone and is available on the NHS to be used in conjunction with oestrogen as either pill, gel or patch.
Here is the section on MM that tells you all about it: http://www.menopausematters.co.uk/to_progestogens.php
Sadly many women still get problems with this progesterone if they are very sensitive (progesterone intolerant) but it is thought to be the safest to use. The main side effect of this natural progesterone is sedation and some find they do get PMT or, like me, get problematic bleeding but it is well worth trying.
