Can't type much as I slipped and broke a bone in my right hand last week. But just wanted to update you guys.
Last week my mood dipped dangerously low, to the point I felt so desperate verging on suicidal. Had to resort to diazepam several times.
Saw Dr Annie. So lovely. She told me I was a classic case and prescribed 3 sachets of sandrena gel per day plus 100mg of Utrogestan, orally, for just 7 days.
I am also back on 40mg of Amitriptyline, from my GP, because I went to her in desperation last week as felt so dreadful. This should help with my insomnia.
When I saw Dr Annie it had been 24 days since my last withdrawal bleed so she suggested I start the Utro today. But my own period started this morning, so will email her secretary to see whether to still start the Utro or not.
It hurts to type anymore. Thanks everyone.

Hi GRL, thank you for the update and so sorry to hear you've broken a bone! How awful! Hope you will recover soon!
I was also wondering what was the outcome of your visit to Dr. Annie. It is great that you have a path to follow and a great specislist to guide you through. I so hope this treatment will work for you! Keep us posted and quick recovery!

Hello GRL, I am so sorry to hear that you have been through such a horrendous time over this last week. Thankfully, you have now seen Dr Annie Evans who sounds compassionate & I hope that the new hrt regime that she has prescribed (which sounds promising) works really well for you. Wishing you a speedy recovery from your injury. xxx MB

Lovely to hear from you, though sorry to hear about the bone in your hand. I too was thinking about you this week. Sounds like Dr Annie has suggested something that'll really suit you and it'll be very interesting to hear how it goes (once you can type!). Is a sachet of gel the same as a pump of Estrogel? If so, are you on equivalent of 75 mcg patch? Will that prevent ovulation, or did she think that was not necessary? Is she happy for you to take the Utro x7 without a scan or will you be scanned? SO much I want to ask, but dont want to encourage you to type before your bone is healed ... so will leave you in peace! :crutch:

Hope your hand heals soon :tulips2:

Hi GypsyRoseLee
I was thinking about you Thurs/Fri and wondering how you got on with Annie Evans!
So sorry to hear about your broken bone - dare I ask how you did it? Hope it heals soon - and sorry about your low mood too.
Very pleased you got on well with her at your appointment and hope your new regime works for you.
Briony - 3 sachets of Sandrena is equivalent to 4 pumps of estrogel but there is less gel to apply so hopefully less waiting around for it to dry! I posted on another thread about the equivalence (One sachet S = 1.0 mg estradiol. One pump E = 0.75 mg estradiol)
I presume she has suggested a follow up appointment to check on how you are doing - and also presumably regular checks on your uterus lining eg annually just t make sure all is OK as Briony asked?
Do let us know when you feel able to type.
GOOD LUCK WITH IT ALL!!!
Hurdity xX :)

Hello Gypsy, I also was thinking of you!
Glad Annie Evans has upped your oestrogen, I only hope it works as well for you as it has for me :) and hope your amitriptyline helps you get some well needed rest. Insomnia is the pits isn't it? as it has a knock on effect with everything else you do. Fingers crossed you start to feel much better very soon. :great:
And ouch to your broken bone! :o
Just what you needed eh?
Here's hoping everything goes well, and please post again when you're able to let us know how it's going x
