Hi
Can anyone tell me if when you get stressed you get lightheaded and red cheeks feeling as though you are going to pass out, I've had this for over a week but I am under s lot of stress. I haven't had a period now since October but still get symptoms when I would be due to start. Do you think these could all related. I am not on any HRT, and after talking Tony doctor and having blood tests I am or allowed to go on it.

Light headiness can be caused by lots of issues. Has your GP/Practice Nurse taken any blood tests and your blood pressure recently?
I get a slight whoosh in my head due to the medication I take. I also have a nerve in the back of my neck which can be trapped when I move, it makes me go 'oh', not exactly dizzy but a weird, sudden feeling.
Are you able to explain who has told you why you are unable to take HRT? Recent Guidelines are much clearer than previously which means that many thoughts that suggested ladies shouldn't take HRT have been de-mythed ;)
If you are young then your body will require HRT to protect bones and heart :-\

I've always had this, even before peri - it was at its worst during my teens. It's common to flush when under stress and the light-headedness I think in my case is due to tense muscles and not breathing properly due to stress. Then you panic that you will faint, which makes the stress worse, which makes the light-headedness worse...
If it's something you haven't had before & it continues, it might be worth checking with your GP - e.g blood pressure, anaemia etc might cause this.
