Sorry to keep posting. Does anyone find that there VA is better some days and the following day it burns and stings again ? I wish the estriol cream would work more quickly. I find the external tissues the worse especially after spending a penny. Was advised by my Doctor to shower that area when I have been to the toilet. Can't do that at work. Oh how I wish I had carried on with my Vagifem when symptoms were a lot easier. Certainly shan't stop using them again. Has anyone tried the serenity cream, can it be used with the estriol cream? Like all of us I would like to wake up one morning feeling normal. Just had 6 months off work with balance problems, now this. Thanks for responses.

I find that KY jelly on the outer lips can ease itchiness. How often do you apply the estriol? Maybe do it every night for a week?

Thank you for replying. I was told to use a little estriol cream every time I have spent a penny. I use more on the external area at night. The vagifem worked wonders last time, just wished I had continued with it. Just read an old thread and someone said the estriol cream takes several weeks to work. Just wish I wasn't in a job where I am sitting a lot, because that really aggravates it. It burns like Thrush or a UTI but haven't got either of those. Oh, the joys of being a women. Thanks again.

I use Multi Gyn Actigel every evening as it keeps the whole area slightly more acidic and sooths the burning. I found the oestrogen creams made the burning far worse. DG x

I use the actigel and also a carefree liner (they do not have the plastic backing, but beware the Scented/Fresh Ones!) if I am irritated during the day. The liners also help with the occasional dribble, on not getting to the loo fast enough, which seems to come with the irritation, but they are not waterproof so will not help with anything more.

Have already tried the actigel, but found that really burnt. Keeping going with the estriol cream fot the labia/ vulval tissues. Reading about it it does take 5 to 6 weeks to work. Only on week two and patience is running thin . Well, will have to persevere. I know last time the vagifem took several weeks to work. Forgotten what it's like to feel normal. Happy days everyone.
