I understand Utrogestan has to be taken at night time. Please could you let me know your optimum timings when you take it - whether that's orally or vaginally. I know that absorption is better vaginally but I'd like to know the options.
The pharmaceutical notes I looked up on the internet say to take before bed on an empty stomach. I have my tea around 6.30pm and then a weetabix before bed. Not sure how this would work! Plus how late do you take it because I understand it can leave you groggy in the morning? I have work in the morning.
Re taking it vaginally - do you take it last thing before bed so you're lying down otherwise it might fall out? I have a applicator from ovestin so this might be ideal to use.
I appreciate ladies might have their own preferences and in time, one can find their own preferences but it's good to have a starting point.
Thank you

I took mine vaginally just as I got into bed.

Ditto vaginally - once I'm in bed. Mine would be likely to slip down if I was still up and about. Depends on how slack you are down there and how many children you've had if any. I do feel more tired in the morning but just carry on as normal ie don't let it interfere with whatever I plan to do including working. The empty stomach for oral use is to standardise the dose I think. Research says the bio-availability is increased when taken with food so the dose is designed I presume on average for a certain amount to get through the digestive system. Therefore taking it with food is not going to do you any harm because you can't really overdose on it! Just might get a few more side effects if you are sensitive to it?
