Waiting for his dad to ring to fill in all the details!

I wasn't - weighed in at 3lb 4oz  :o

Don't remember Mum's menopause.  I know a relative who was 'caught' at that age ………. her youngest child was in her middle 20s  ::) at the time.

Easy to say and easy to spell  ;)

I remember changing my first nephew's nappy  ;D - he knew I was a beginner and kicked it straight off, gurgling - he was 7 weeks old  ::)

My daughter in law asked me very nicely if I would mind changing DGS nappies as the one my husband did fell down when they took his trousers off  ;D

I said no but I would supervise husband next time so he learns.  They didn't have Pampers when ours were small, we had terry nappies and pins  ::)

…. and a soak bucket and the pins had pink or blue safety 'ends' …….. nothing better than a line of Terry nappies blowing in the wind, as long as they aren't on my line  ;D

My 6 mths old granddaughter is coming to stay(with mummy and daddy of course!) next week. I haven't seen her since September. Her personality has really developed. I don't  expect to have loads of cuddles though as she is desperate to be on the move. She would be running around if she had the physical maturity! We've decided to spray her with WD40 as she squeaks very loudly! Can't wait!

Thanks very much ladies! All is good and they are going home today. We had lovely cuddles with her yesterday. ...7hrs old!!  Very emotional moment.

JuJu...how lovely,  you will enjoy every moment.

Isn't it fabulous to have grandchildren? Yes they are tiring, but totally outweighed by the joy they bring. Plus you can hand them back.  ;D Oh, did I say that out loud?  ::)

congratulations purplenanny, how lovely. Our daughter was the first girl for 4 generations - 30 years ago now. Since then we have had 2 granddaughters and a grandson so DD broke the chain of boys in the family.

Everyone, enjoy your new grandbabies. I think it will be a while before we have another one.

Today my GD came to stay for the first time, with mummy and daddy in tow. She is now 6 months old. The last time I saw her, she was 1 month old. I have fallen in love her all over again. She is such a happy, smiley active little soul. She is tiny, only weighing 14 lbs. Her dad was 10lbs at birth and 11 a week later, but she seems very healthy and desparate to be on the move.

Six months has gone quickly Ju Ju - bet you see a difference in her.  Enjoy your time with her -how long will they be staying?

My little granddaughter is nearly 5 weeks ,  changing every day - a little gem who brightens me so much ❤️❤️❤️
