Sorry new to this
Recently I have started on BB for migraine due to menopause, but I also feel that I am becoming paranoid as I feel that every ailment I get is very serious, I had my last period in October last year but on the 28th day when my period would have been due I get lightheaded, bad indigestion and feel as though I'm having heart attack even though I'm not, my husband is getting really annoyed with me as it is happening every month. I just want to get on with life but I worry about every little thing, can anyone give me some advise as I feel I'm going to make myself poorly by worrying all the time. ( sorry I'm not good with words). I also am suffering with a really dry mouth and throat.

Sorry you're not feeling great. I can empathise as I've always had health anxiety which has increased with the perimenopause. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable about suitable hormone treatments will be along, but you could also ask your GP for a referral for some CBT to help you deal with the anxiety side of things. With all the hormonal upheaval , our bodies do start to throw out weird and wonderful symptoms, but it is often our emotional responses to them that determines whether they blow over quickly or stick like glue to scare us. I've worried about my heart for years since my dad had a possible heart attack and was found to have a kink in an artery so do understand where you are at, but my dear hubby reminded me that after our son was born, I was equally convinced I had a brain tumour as I suffered from headaches that got worse as I worried, so our minds are very good at making us feel physically unwell, especially when our hormones are depleted. See your GP or google to see if your health trust run a self referral to CBT scheme in your area.

Hi coldethyl thank you so much for your reply. I have been told by my Dr that due to my dads family all having PEs that I cannot go on HRT. I will google CBT schemes in my area thank you.

Hi marshytiger - you will find lots of help and advice on here.
By PEs do you mean pulmonary embolisms? If so you can have your blood tested to see if you have one of the genetic clotting disorders. I had this done due to my mum's family history before I started on HRT. Also, patch or gel HRT is considered much less of a risk re blood clotting and stroke than pill HRT so if you do want to try this route, eventually, don't be put off by one GP's opinion.

Thank you Taz, I don't really know much about HRT, with the Dr ruling it out I have not done any research but I will now thanks again.
