I've been on Elleste Solo for 5 weeks, WHEN will it start to work? Is it a gradual thing or will I wake up one day and feel 'better'?
-
Hi hrt usually takes awhile to work 2/3months is the usual quoted time frame. ;)
-
Can't speak for your HRT, but mine was very gradual.
-
I would say to be honest about four months before you feel it really kick in then you should start to feel a lot better.
-
Mine took about two weeks.
If it is not working you may need a higher dose.
-
will give it 3 months that's when I see the doc about this, in Feb.

Just been reading my Levothyroxine leaflet and I have realised I'm overdosed. This has happened before and I was told what to do, this is why my heart is racing more, why my stomach is upset, why I can't sleep. It has made me overactive. Phew, now I understand why I'm feeling the way I am, will update the doc next time I see him. Getting thyroid meds right is a juggling act, it's getting the balance right between the HRT and the Levo.
-
That's part of the reason I decided not to go down the HRt route. My thyroid levels are very sensitive anyway and I didn't want to go through any more instability than I already have.
Good luck with getting your levels stabilised.

Can anyone tell me what is the best for hot flushes ,night sweats dizziness and vaginal dryness I am 56 years old work full time this is stressing me out don,t know what to do

Hi Sally1959
:welcomemm:
I suggest you post a new thread in the New Members forum. That's what I was told! You'll get more replies to a new thread.
Personally I've just started HRT a month ago after 9 years of flushes with other symptoms gradually added.
Depends how old you are and your attitude to HRT.
Good luck!

You could try a lubricant for the vaginal dryness. Do some research re HRT

My HRT kicked in about 4 days after starting it , took about 3 months to reach an even keel, am on levo too. Perhaps I had such immediate results as my symptoms were pretty fierce as Id tried everything else for 6 months or so never believing this could happen to me !
-
4 days ! Wow !

Hi Louisa
I'm one of those people who wanted immediate results, then felt a failure when, after three weeks, I felt no better (worse, if anything). It took three to four months before I began to feel like me again, and even then, there were still the occasional off days.
It's all trial and error, sadly, and for some people it takes longer than others.
Hope that helps, B x
