Honeybun replied to a post I made at five to eleven and now at ten to one she seems to have gone.
This is so weird, does anyone know anything about it?
I know I disappeared without warning and people probably wondered why, I just hope she is all right as she has been very supportive and kind to me ???

It looks like it all kicked off on the Progesterone Cream thread - now locked off.
It's kinda sad :'( This is when we need each other the most, and we're the only ones who really understand how hard this whole change process is. I hope HB is back soon - she's been so helpful to me :-* Same goes for all of you - I'd be in a really dark place by now if I hadn't found you.

It seems Emma locked the topic thank goodness,and says she has notified certain members of the forum's guidelines,guess HB was one of them,so sad. :-\

I'm not sure she was any different than others involved :-\ obviously in my opinion ::)
Surely it takes more than one person to have an opinion/discussion.
Anyway can we now stop all this it gets tiresome and we need all our energies for fighting this rubbish called menopause. ;)

Oh no that's terrible - I dnt understand - HB is amazing and gives such valuable support and opinions. seems really harsh decision to suspend her, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm gutted.

And for the record I enjoyed the alternatives section and all the varied opinions. I cannot take HRT yet found it so helpful - if some of the opinions were a bit strong then so be it, it's an opinion - we are all adults. I never felt anyone was being disrespectful or bullying in any way - oh well.

Odd that this should happen at a time when we should be united - following on from what happened across the World in recent weeks, plus events in Paris on Friday and 2-day :'(- not the best time to be giving people 'warnings' MHO ……..

Don't think HB will be coming back. I too have had email from her. She has such a lot going on in her life at the moment, then got hit with suspension. :'( :'( :'( She's a valuable member to me & many others.

It's always sad when people leave (voluntarily or involuntarily) the forum, but I'm sure these decisions aren't made in haste by Emma. She has made her position very clear on the prog cream thread, so we need to respect that decision and leave it alone now. Quite possibly there are issues that we aren't even aware of. There are always two sides to every story.
People will return if they want to, or are able to. Life will still go on without them regardless of what they do, and there are plenty of other people to share opinions and suggestions in their absence. Let's hope we can all get back to normal viewing now, and everyone will respect other people's opinions without resorting to any kind of nastiness or silly come-backs.

It won't be the same without Honeybun - she was just great and I respected her opinions. Never found her anything other than a great asset to the forum and am very sad to see her go. Sure many will follow.

I didn't follow the progesterone cream thread so I've no idea what the problem was but I am sorry to see that honeybun has been suspeneed. Menopause is horrible and at times like this we need each other!

cubagirl is right and Prajna is not listed on the members list but is still showing in threads as an active member. If you click on her name her account shows up and shows last activity this morning. This is rather odd ???
Anyway life, and the forum goes on and we can't change what has been done. Lets learn from it and look out for each other :hug:

I'm another one who's really sorry to hear that HB has been suspended. If she's reading this I'd like her to know that I think she's always been extremely supportive and the idea for an alternative therapies section was excellent. My knowledge of menopause stuff is extremely limited, and I've learnt a lot by reading here, so can't really participate in the debates but do appreciate others sharing their experiences.
I've just looked at a couple of other threads and see that the subject of Alternative Therapies has caused disagreements in the past so can see why there was a reluctance for the inclusion, however menopause problems / solutions aren't 'one size fits all' and what works for one person doesn't always work for another, but if it helps just one person then we need to consider it because it may just help us. Surely it's up to the individual to decide if they want to try something and, whilst they should try to learn as much as possible from others, we should respect their choices. The internet is full of information which proves or disproves any theory and it really depends on what you want to find and how you interpret it.

I find it odd that it seems to be members who were interested in alternative therapies that have had to leave the forum due to not being heard, listened to or respected for their alternative views. I can see it would be quite easy to get a bit paranoid about this especially as we menopausal ladies are not always known for our logic or rational thought.

Well this has answered my question. Having PMd another member earlier tonight to ask the very question of where is HB.
Up till now hadnt been aware of suspension of HB, awful, I really liked her posts she was a sparky lady often with wise words and empathy.
Im not on here as much as others but enjoyed her input.

I haven't posted on this until now but I think that the fact that Emma was contacted by members and non-members about the posts on a particular thread speaks for itself. We rely on Emma to stop such behaviour on the forum. She would have had a good reason for the suspension and I think we should trust her judgement. Suspension is there to give the member time to think and consider just what they want to gain from or contribute to the forum. I didn't read the thread which led to HB being suspended but there must have been a reason for this to have happened.
