Title: up date on my hyeterectomy
Post by: daisie on November 17, 2015, 10:22:02 AM
thought id up date you of my out come of my hysterectomy ..got a phone call from the nurse at the hospital yesterday saying the pathology results have come back from all the bits they took from me ,,everything fine was caught very early and no further treatment ,just a follow up appointment in 3 months .what a relief..looking back if i didnt have that big bleed what sent me to the a&e   .i would have carried on having the light period type bleed thinking it was the menopause or the fibroid i had,  things could have been worse just glad they sent me for the biopsy x daisie

Hey daisie
So pleased to hear your good news that all is well and no further treatment! You must be so pleased! :foryou: I can't remember how old you are or whether you had ovaries out too but I hope they've offered you HRT to help you through the coming months as it will be a shock to your system?

Here's to a healthy recovery!  :)

Hurdity x

daisie, that's great news, I am so pleased, I was wondering how you were getting on.  It's good that you are not having any further treatment but quite normal in cases like yours I believe.  What a relief.  Please keep us posted on your progress.

:congrats:  now rest!  Make the most of recovery time  ;) ……….. I would ring the Surgeon's secretary and ask what advice you  should have received regarding HRT ………. perhaps the Surgeon has sent recommendations to your GP?  They don't seem to join up the dots much do they  :bang: - HRT should have been discussed prior to surgery  ::)

Who you got to bring you a cuppa, fill a wine glass, fill your bath  :whist:

daisie, my neighbour that I mentioned before used HRT for years after her hysterectomy because her menopause was very sudden.  Her hot flushes were so bad, her glasses used to steam up and it was very embarrassing particularly as she was on reception at work.  I would definitely recommend you use a bio identical, transdermal oestrogen, they are far more effective.
