Love this website !  I'm 49 years old and still having regular periods but loads of menopausal symptoms.... hot flushes and not sleeping being the worst.  A few weeks ago my GP started me on Prempac C and for the first two weeks everything was great.  However when I stared on the progestogen tablet as well my hot flushes and poor sleeping returned.  So I'm wondering how long Prempac C should take to work ?  Should I be patient and keep going for a few more months ?

Basil - Hi and welcome to MM
Prempac C is one of the old fashioned HRTs - happens to be one of the cheapest!!!! The progesterone in this can often bring more side effects although I suspect your own hormones are fluctuating in the background so this can cause meno symptoms to fluctuate as well. I think you need to stick with any HRT preparation for at least 3 months before trying something different.
If you want to try something different after 3monoths then Femoston is a good one to try. DG x
