Hi
been feeling a lot better on the oestrogen only hrt.. id say 80% back to "normal" whatever that is... anyway i was due a period last week but just had 6 days of brown discharge (sorry if tmi) last few days ive been moody, had surges of cant cope but theyve passed... this morning i have been out to a homestore.. when i was walking around had an overwhelming feeling of emotion /doom.. follwed by a flush... carried on strolling round but felt horrible.. then went to another store changed some things and then home.. got back and have started bleeding.. now feel tearful and a bit of fear.. is this normal?? xx

Sounds like it could be "normal " PMS which you are experiencing. The brownish discharge was the lining starting to get ready to shed by the sound of it,hopefully now your bleed has started properly you should feel better.

thank you dazned for the reassurance :-) it probably is.. just exgerated emotions washing over me at the min..thought i had started my flow.. but not quite there yet... fingers crossed arrives properly soon and this lifts xx

If you're on cyclical HRT then you will experience mood changes as you change from one type of pill to another and also pmt when you come off the combi tablets - until the progestogen has cleared from your sytem. Also your own cycle kicking in can also lead to bleeding at slightly the "wrong" time.

Hi Hurdity :-)
im oesteogen only at the minute as couldnt tolerate progeateone.. so take continuosly.. this feels like pmt but slighrly worse.. probably because had a anxiety episode a few months ago before starting hrt.. used to brush off as pmt but scares me a bit now.. hopefully that will fade too..x

If it's any help, I get the feeling of doom usually first thing in the morning.. It's horrible, but don't worry it's very normal.. It will pass, I just get up as soon as it starts and have a tea or coffee and it goes away.. damn horrmones!! Once you know its part of the process, then the psychological aspect of it diminishes .. deep breath! :)

Thank you Pat21 :-) it does yr right... think because been feeling okish the last couple of months it just shook me up.. funny thing is it was as though i bought it on because was feeling "hormonal" i also had in the mornings a few months ago.. but like you said once i learned to relax through it .. it stopped scaring me :-) just having flushes of emotions.. but patiently waiting for Downton Abbey ! x
