I believe it has helped with flushes. They can make you pretty spaced out. I had them for neuralgia a few years back. Had to take at bed time though so I could sleep off the effects.

Hi there. I took Gabapentin for several years for back/leg pain, weaned myself off it about a year ago. It didn't make me woozy, but by about 19.45 I couldn't keep my eyes open, never gone to bed so early in my life! I don't think it made much difference to my menopause symptoms tho. I manage well without it, in fact have less pain than when I took it, but that's another story!

I'm on it for MS related Neuropathic pain.
I'd heard that it helps control flushes - I can't really comment on that as I use HRT patches, don't know what's patch and what's Gaba.
At one stage I was on 300mg 3 times a day - it did help with the pain but I did sleep an awful lot, oh and acquired Michelin man blob type proportions :-\ Currently I'm using, 100mg first thing and 200mg in the evening - it takes the edge of the pain without getting too zonked or podgy. GP was very keen on 3 doses a day but what I'm doing now works for me.
