Title: mattress recommendations
Post by: Allison64 on October 12, 2015, 05:24:45 PM
Can anybody recommend a 'cooling' type of mattress/bedding?
I'm having terrible night sweats and waking frequently, often unable to get back to sleep and so feeling awful the next day. I'm a teacher and really need a night's sleep!!
I've tried cutting out certain foods, alcohol etc but nothing seems to help.
Thanks

Allison64 - welcome to MM
If you are suffering with menopausal night sweats then do read up all the info on this site and perhaps consider some HRT treatment.
Sadly a different mattress won't make that much difference to the night sweats but I'd research the net for mattresses with natural fibres if you feel you need something better.  We have a Latex mattress which is great as it does keep one cooler. DG x

Hello Allison64 and welcome to the forum.

I think some ladies have reported success with something called "chill pillows" ? Perhaps if you do a search for that?

I think anything that can help us through this meno minefield should be considered, because we're worth it...

Wishing you well.
