Title: A to Z of Menopause and Medical Conditions - Fibromyalgia
Post by: Jaki T on October 04, 2015, 01:01:51 PM
Hi

I noticed that in the list on the site Fibromyalgia wasn't mentioned but a lot of the symptoms of FM are exacerbated with menopause eg weight gain, sweats, fatigue, migraines and many more.  I think it would be very helpful to include this for the many FM sufferers. :)

Hi CLKD - thanks for your reply and welcome  :)

I have Fibromyalgia and am going through the change so I'm getting a double whammy - it's hard to know what is one and what is the other.  I noticed you had hypothyroidism and MS listed. Fibromyalgia has many overlaps with these.  I'm a member of FM boards and the issue of painful periods/menopause often comes up - pain being one of the key symptoms of FM.
