I have noticed lately that I sometimes get this odd buzzing/vibrating sensation in my vagina. Pretty faint. Not painful, but weird... Last time it happened I was a couple of days away from my period. This time it's the same thing. I should be starting my period any time actually. Is this a hormonal thing? A muscular thing (some type of light uterine contractions maybe?)? Or what? Anyone else here experincing it?

And there came my period! There must be some relation?! Yesterday it was more located in my rectum and today in my vagina....

I get that too - no idea what causes it but usually just before a bleed

I know this is an old post, but this is exactly the same as my vibrating in the groin area. It’s causing me to be anxious.

Hi
I have searched this site before for this symptom but didn't find anything. So glad to see this, I have had this on and off since last September. It's awful and adds to the anxiety doesn't it X

Hi
I used to get this when I had a coil. Not sure if it was related? X

I know this is a really old post but I’m so glad I found it.
I’m 47, had the coil fitted to cope with horrible periods, and also going through perimenopause.
Don’t have proper periods due to coil.
Recently had this weird light buzzing sensation and was baffled. I then started to get painful cramps so then I was scared.
Shortly after, I then started spotting and realised it must be due to the weird coil period I have now.
I’ve had the buzzing before but didn’t link it until now. If it happens again, I’ll definitely remember this time.
Unless it’s some other weird menopausal issue.
