Sorry about this question, but as a newbie I'm wondering if it's normal to have a strong smell down below- it appears to be worse around my withdrawal bleed?
Never had this before so feeling quite paranoid :-\

Hi Nicky84 it could just be a touch of Bacterial Vaginosis, which is when the normal bacteria down below becomes unbalanced. A bit like when thrush descends. Cause can be from over zealous hygiene and shaving the pubic area. What is usually recommended is a vaginal swab by your practice nurse, then if any bacteria shows an antibiotic clears it up.

We also have a thread which I started 'ohhh errr' ……… I could smell an altered aroma all over but DH reckoned he didn't notice a difference.
Have a word with your Practice Nurse? and let us know.

Always worth checking there is nothing wrong, but I found increased odour was one of the first symptoms.
