Title: Awkward question...
Post by: Nicky84 on September 29, 2015, 09:05:15 PM: Sorry about this question, but as a newbie I'm wondering if it's normal to have a strong smell down below- it appears to be worse around my withdrawal bleed?
Never had this before so feeling quite paranoid :-\

Post by: orchid on September 30, 2015, 07:44:05 AM: Hi Nicky84 it could just be a touch of Bacterial Vaginosis, which is when the normal bacteria down below becomes unbalanced. A bit like when thrush descends. Cause can be from over zealous hygiene and shaving the pubic area. What is usually recommended is a vaginal swab by your practice nurse, then if any bacteria shows an antibiotic clears it up.
