My niece as some of you know was in hospital today to be induced for her third baby. It was all delayed so baby probably won't be born until tomorrow. Got sis and I talking.
There are some strange date and time things happen in my family.
Just a few.....but I wondered who else has this in a family.
My dad was ten years older than my mum.
Hubby is ten years older than me.
My sister is 13 years older than me.
I'm 13 years older than my nephew.
My niece and my late daughter share a birthday.
My sisters dog was born on the same date as her daughter
My dog was born on the same date as my daughter
My great nephew shares a birthday with my dad.
My great nephew will be 13 years older than the new baby
New baby will share a birthday with his cousin.
There are more but I won't bore you all.
We all find it to be really strange.
Anyone else

My husband and I share the same birth date. He is 9 years older than me. His daughter Danielle and my son Daniel share the same birth date, 9 years apart.
My mum and dad were born on same date but, again, 9 years apart. Don't think all of that tops yours though honeybun :)

Danielle and Daniel ;)
We have similar issues in our families - on Friday we learnt that an uncle and aunt shared the same birthday: they were the youngest son and daughter of 7 - M in L was the 2nd born, the eldest daughter
My Paternal Grandad died on his eldest son's birthday
My F in L died 2 days before his D in L's birthday
My dog was pts the day before our anniversary
One of my cats was pts the day after my sister's birthday; another was pts the same day as my friend's birthday
Another friend had her child on her birthday
My besestes friend was born on her Mum's birthday
My [late] Gt Uncle was born on 14 Feb..

Oh a couple more.
There were 13 children in my dads family.....maybe that's where the 13 first started.
And my dad died on my birthday ....
It's all very strange.

Like we wouldn't remember those dates ::) ………
-
Forgot to say that, although my boys were born on different dates, they were all born at 5.25 am. I should've had a little bet on that happening ;D
-
Almost: Our 1st set of kittens )2 brothers( were killed on the same stretch of road 9 days apart; our much later cats were pts 11 days apart :-\ the same Vet. walked up the path
We choose our wedding for 23 August as we had started going out on 25th Feb. a few years previously …….. 23rd that year fell on a Bank Holiday
-
Lottery....gosh I wish. ;D
I still think all these dates and same amount of time between things in a family is bizarre to say the least.

Could it not be genetic ;)
-
Nope...my niece and nephew are both adopted so no genetic link there.
Just a very odd set of coincidences. Sis and I suspected this little baby would be born tomorrow so he will share a birthday with his cousin ....just kind of works that way in my family.

As long as he arrives in 1 piece! Special Care cot ready?

I feel really sorry for her....she went in at 8:30 this morning and because they were busy they didn't get to her until about 7pm. She told my sis she was hot, tired, stressed and hungry and wanted to come home.....her hubby wouldn't let her.
Still it will all be happening now....poor thing, I don't envy her at all.

Most of our family dates are near misses. Only ones the same are my mum's birthday & daughter's partner's mum. My FIL had same birthday as my brother.
-
A couple of weird date coincidences:
My dad and me share the same birthday - and we clash terribly.
My elder (estranged) sister was born on my parents' wedding anniversary.
Dad, sister, me, we're all cancerians.
Is this unusual or a common occurrence - not to do with date coincidence though - an acquaintance has a son who is younger than her grandson.
-
oh errr …….. we had families in our village that were all muddled up …….. aunts younger than nieces …….
