Title: IBS and Serotonin
Post by: Taz2 on August 23, 2015, 05:28:19 PM
Hi Ladies - as some of us suffer with IBS symptoms I thought this article might be helpful in explaining the role of serotonin in the gut (as the professionals call it)

Did you have the constipation IBS? I've been advised that the citalopram will make my diarrhoea IBS worse due to increasing the serotonin. I haven't liked to try it yet - hate being glued to the loo so to speak!

Thanks Taz,

I have read this before and decided against because of the type of IBS that I have. I did try....and was sick and spent a whole day on the loo. Decided I would just have to cope with my anxiety.

I would simply love to find a cure or a pill for my anxiety but have yet to be convinced by any.
