You may remember I posted about contacting my specialist about trying Vagifem? That was a week ago now, I hadn't heard anything so I sent another email this morning also explaining that I feel my treatment isn't working and I don't know where to go from here? I did mention about trying Qlarua and if it would be an option for me? I feel so desperate at the moment :-\
I got a reply immediately -
Dear Ms Tester
So sorry you did not get a reply from Professor.
He is now on leave, but many of our patients do use Vagifem. It certainly cannot hurt.
He will be telephoning so I can check with him - but he is not here to sign a script.
Sincerely
This always happens :-\ I never get replies and when I do I'm told he's away >:( I understand he's entitled to time off and sometimes things can't be helped but it seems to happen every time I need answers or help or advice :-\ I just feel totally abandoned by him :-\
Sorry for the rant but just don't know what to do next :'(

After following your experience with him I know I would be seeking help elsewhere, but that's just my personal take on it ,however it really does seem as if your feelings in being let down again is completely justifiable. Holidays are ofcourse needed but this isn't the first time you have found it difficult to get a response and he isn't cheap ,I pay half of what you do and get double the attention and information. Feel for you, when you are vulnerable you need some support do hope you get some help soon.

Thanks dazned x I know the sensible thing to do is find someone else but who? And after my GP not taking me seriously I worry that nobody else will and just think I'm a raging lunatic or hypochondriac :-\

Hi Estelle - what about seeing dazned's consultant? He sounds lovely from what she has previously said about him. :)
-
could be an option depending on where he's based?
-
What part of the country do live in as I would recommend my gynaecologist and I'm sure there people who would recommend their in other areas too.
-
He is based in Hertfordshire ;)
-
I'm in Oxfordshire :) would you mind sharing him with me dazned?? ;D
-
Good luck Estelle, I think if you're paying good money, you deserve a good service, it may not always be doable as in medication but certainly should be in communication xx
-
Well it's not as far as London for you ! He sees patients Fri and Sat ... ;D

Sounds promising would you mind sending me his details? :thankyou:
