Title: Hot at night ?
Post by: dazned on August 20, 2015, 10:52:02 AM
Just thought I'd share this idea with you all if haven't already got one or two . We bought ceiling fans for every room in house after the initial one in the bedroom and must say they have been a Godsend especially through the night . Strangely enough the most expensive one is the noisiest ! If you decide to try them get the Argos basic one £20 it's easy to fit and I'm very susceptible to any little noise when trying to sleep but I have it on all night on low which means I can have windows closed thus shutting out any outside noises and have slept much better and cooler. Maybe work for others too suffering those same hot episodes.

We have 2 in our bedroom  ;) on full blast nearly all year! I've also found the slight hum they give off is relaxing sometimes  :)

glad it helps Dazned.  We have a ceiling fan, a stand up fan and two doors open and I am STILL too hot ::)

Another tip: fill a hot water bottle with cold water and stick it in the fridge about an hour before you go to bed, then take it to bed with you and put your feet on it.

Brrrrrr!
