Oh good thread!
My parents had their honeymoon in The Talbot, Tregaron and took us there for anniversary meals (ours) in later years.
We have been to a couple on here too ……… but without trawling back through I can't remember ;D
I would add the Horse and Jockey at Manton, on Rutland Water : good food, good service, lovely area.

Not a favourite, but I've eaten at the Lord Crewe Arms a few times.....

Don't know any of them but the 2 Bridge Inns have the nicest settings. One of the other pubs looks like a small school. :)

perhaps you could share your favourites even if they are not listed. It would be helpful to build up a list of recommended places for when we go out and about.

I'll start things off with the Lewinnick Lodge, Newquay http://www.lewinnicklodge.co.uk/
and The Turf Locks, Exminster near Exeter http://www.turfpub.net/ (only accessible by boat, walking or bike).
