Title: Aching Arms
Post by: toffeecushion on August 14, 2015, 04:44:34 PM
I've had aching ankles and knees for a while now but now my arms have started to ache and my elbows feel like I have knocked my funny bone.  Anyone else had this?

Yep.  HORMONES  >:(  ::) - my aches and pains seem to pop up all over at different times, un-related to what I've been doing  ::)

Same here,  CLKD . The pain will often not diminish, even with pain killers, then suddenly, for no obvious reason,  just vanish. Aghh!   >:(

Yes TC, been there, done that, etc ... !  I've had 'golfers' and 'tennis' elbow and I don't play either. Also had painful shoulder for ages then it went but does still click. Just this last week have a painful ankle again, no reason for it, it just hurts every so often when I walk particularly going up and down stairs, takes my breath away its so sharp and feels like its going to give way! Oh nearly forgot the grating neck, that can trigger a headache as well. Bloody annoying isn't it!

I think I have sussed out what is making my ankles worse - my work boots are quite heavy and as I walk they pull down onto my achilles tendon and I think that is making things worse.  You haven't changed your shoes lately have you causing your ankles to start up again?

I had a headache yesterday and in the bath I lay down and pushed down on my shoulders and my headache went.  So blaming that one on my shoulder and neck.  It's never ending isn't it?

..and I thought it was just old age :(

Dont know about the arms.  But for feet, I have to wear a good pair of walking boots to keep my feet/knees/hips happy.  My wellies, are actually 'muckboots' that are also fitted and support the foot.

Shoulder pains were fixed by yoga, but it did take a few months.

When my elbows started to ache my GP said rheumatism ......I use ibuprofen gel which helps a lot.

I think it's an age thing to be honest.

I'm getting loads, and they're getting worse.  The other day I couldn't straighten my arm and thought tennis elbow had returned but the other arm, then it vanished about 6 hrs later

I've been given medication for Myasthenia, neuro said  physical exam of my eyes are classic but I haven't got my  blood results back yet but the symptoms of that are confusing me with menopause now, wobbly limbs, painful joints, crashing fatigue, I don't know whether I'm coming or going with all these muscle/joint pains

I wake up and feel like I've been hiking in my sleep, sure that's the meno though
