Am away on holiday right now. Should have started taking Utrogestan last Thursday but decided to delay as I was going away. Plus I then decided to not bother wirh another course of Utro and just shift over to taking the Pill this weekend when we get home as my mood swings are still extreme.
Have felt really good again this last week but then my period arrived yesterday, even though I haven't taken any Utro and it's only 3 weeks since my last withdrawal bleed.
And, very distressingly my mood has really slumped again and feeling quite anxious.
Just wondering if anyone knows why I'm having a bleed, and accompanying sharp headaches, without having taken any progesterone yet?
Unfortunately I didn't bring my packet of the Pill with me elae I would just swap over to it right now in the hope the higher dosage might lift my mood in the next few days. Very annoying. This holiday has been near perfect up until now.

Maybe it's your own system still being strong enough to get the lining to shed by its own progesterone, despite not having the extra? :-\

I also believe that that is what is happening. This has also been happening to me as well, since I started HRT and come off of the BCP. I only took my prometrium once....all other times had a normal period without. Have an appointment with my specialist on 17th and will report back as this is something I will definitely be discussing.

Thanks. I think it must be that too. Woke earlier feeling quite nauseous too but managed to get back to sleep.
Another reason to swap to the Pill I guess? If my own hormones are still this strong then HRT isn't going to help me enough.
Are you still thinking of going back on the Pill Poppyflower?
