Hi
Is this just another perimenopause thing going on and it is 'normal' to feel a bit sicky on and off all day? Started happening I'd say the last 3 weeks, seems I ease a symptom off and another one appears

Hello Angel45.
I have had nausea as part of this process and it is horrible so you have my sympathy. When it started it felt like morning sickness though it's odd that I should think that considering I didn't suffer during my pregnancies, I guess I just instinctively knew it was hormonal. Even now with HRT I can feel a bit sicky and I see from the patient notes that nausea can be a side effect of the patches I'm using. Oh the joys!
Hopefully other ladies will be along soon to comment, in the meantime all I can say is yes, it is normal...unfortunately.
Take care.

I have back ground nausea due to cutting down my betablocka to 20mg from 40mg …….. bugga!
-
I instinctively thought morning sickness to, even though I never suffered with it when pregnant. It does seem to go off for a short while when I eat, I am at the moment just having 1 evening primrose tablet a day and a rosehip been having them for about 3 months so don't think it's that,
Your right CLKD it's another bugga!!
Thanks ladies

Yip me too....not usually in my stomach but kind of an all over nausea feeling.....I imagine it's what nausea feels like in pregnancy but since I've never experienced it In not sure.....can I join in the hug?......

It's anxiety which makes me feel nauseous, which is also part & parcel of this journey. Joy of joys.

I had nausea for about 3 months then it went as quick as it came on
Took me back to preggy days x

In my mind, I've always thought high levels of oestrogen cause nausea . That left me confused when I suddenly developed it at a time when I knew my oestrogen was low (had a blood test the same day, by coincidence). Anyway, fast forward many months, and I am now taking the pill. Over six months, my symptoms have all but disappeared (touch wood). However, recently, during the pill free phase at the end of each month, they have returned with a vengeance. Main symptoms have been headache ... and severe nausea. Whilst it's annoying, it has proved that in my case, it's lack of oestrogen, not an excess of it, that makes me feel sick.

Where do you feel the nausea :-\ …….. I don't think my insides are the same as yours ………. 'cos ::)
-
I get nauseous too, in fact I have vomited a couple of times.
-
Does anyone else experience nausea as not just a stomach thing but like an overall malaise?
-
I feel nauseous but it doesn't come from my stomach. It's hard to explain but it feels like it comes from my head, neck and chest area. Feels like a giddy, sicky feeling, like sea sickness I suppose.

It's a strange feeling isn't it? Mine comes from neck tension - have got a couple of old whiplash injuries plus the usual wear and tear arthritis in the neck.

Does anyone feel nauseus with people?.....think maybe it's stress.....thanks for sharing ...makes me feel more normal x
-
Oh I know a few people who make me sick...guess you didn't mean that though.
If I feel queasy in company then it's usually down to anxiety. It always affects my tummy.

Maybe mine is tension related, definitely comes from the neck or head region
-
I get three different types of nausea:
1) The 'just been on a roundabout too long' type (which I also get with a migraine/hormones - linked to brain?)
2) The sudden 'just had some really shocking news' sort (from adrenal glands?)
3) The 'bugger, where's the nearest loo and which end will it come out of first ' type (definitely from the bowel region!).
-
Think mine might be from tension too as its when I get stressed and neck and shoulders feel very very tight just now......lol HB yeah some people!!!.....its weird Briony I never get the bowel nausea thing....since hormone madness its more stress related.....just another weird hormones thing gaaaaah x

If it's a tension issue, wonder if acupuncture could help?
-
:-\ nope. Fortunately ;) - there, knew I was different :-X
Ginger biscuits or cooking with fresh ginger will ease nausea. DH adds grated ginger and garlic to most meals he prepares.
I have a kind of sudden 'woozy' head feeling which I think is connected to a nerve in the back of my neck, if I tilt it backwards in particular I get it, DH has a similar feeling sometimes. It's gone as soon as it happens or I would be really freaked by it!
HORMONES >:(

yep ..real queasy - put it down to acid build up in the stomach from anxiety, goes with the 'uncomfortably numb' feeling of non copingness... found alcohol not helpful, loving the ginger!

Menopause alters the taste buds as well as alcohol resistance - apparently ::)
