I started femoston 1/10 then 2/10 for 6 months.....the last 4 months Iv had 3 hours of what I presume is IBS.
I'm just wondering if it's the HRT or not. I was on Omeprazole and Meberverin and stooped them both 6 days ago as I felt better but today my symptoms are returning.
Tired, feel full up, wind, feeling of my bowels being full even after I go to the toilet, sore upper back and a little light headed. I did have a stool sample sent away a few weeks ago and it came back fine.
Don't know what to do anymore xxx

I hate that feeling of fullness >:( then I get the sudden urge to 'go' usually when I'm in town or travelling :-\.
3 hours in 4 months is unpleasant but probably due to hormones, your own may well be kicking in then?
My GP gave me Colpermin and Motillium - to be swallowed *within* the hour of eating my main meals. I used this regime for years and it gave me a lot of relief (in fact it saved my Life). I get light headed if I'm bloated, like I'm carrying too much water :(.
Drink more!

THanks CLKD.....I'm trying to drink more water.
I had the doc this morning and bloods were taken, results back in a few days. Back on meberverine and possible change of HRT....toopatches. Just have to wait and see what bloods say first.
I will let you know and thanks again xx

Not nice for you but I really wish I only had IBS for three hours over four months. I have it daily, as in every morning, sometimes after lunch and also after dinner.
Are you sure it wasn't a little bug. Also Omeprazole can cause the runs so it might have been that, or just something you have eaten.
Did your GP say it was IBS ?
Honeybun

Sorry honeybun......I meant 3 attacks of it each lasting a few weeks.
Doc just said it was bowel problems but did agree it could be hormonal related. Nic been get a few hot flashes through the night too past few days and I'm on femoston 2/10 so I'm not sure what's happening. X

Hormones probably. My IBS takes many forms :-X :-\ depending upon stress levels, what I have eaten in the previous 7-10 days, how tired I am ……..
What did the GP take bloods for?
-
Hi CLKD,
I asked the nurse and she just said it was a full blood count, iron levels, thyroid, liver function etc. I'm not sure why but hey I'm up for finding out what's going on. Doc gave me a site name called food map so Iv picked up a few tips with food types for gastric probs so I'm sticking to that too.
How are you today? Xx

:thankyou: for asking. So far so good. Have 'been' and don't feel bloated right now. DH suggests that I eat more salad/fruits/veg. to ease transit ::) wish he hadn't chosen to talk about it at lunch time though ;D.
Those are the 'usual' blood tests which give a base line as to how the body is functioning. Some results will take longer to come back from the lab. than others.
Can you send me the link for 'food map' please via PM? Dad always gave us a spoonful of honey if we felt queasy ::) but I find it a bit too sweet these days.
