Hi I am 51' feel I have Been premenopausal for three years now., still have regular periods but very heavy and my mood low I Also suffer with fibromyalgia, CFS etc. does anyone else feel like life is over? I am no longer a daughter my one and only child is of travelling, my husband is living his life and my closest friend died last sept.
I don't have much energy, don't want to do anything or go anywhere and if I do I don't enjoy anything.
I am already on a high dosage of antidepressant but don't feel they are helping much. Would love to hear how other people cope kx

Are you able to tell us which anti-depressant, dosage and how long you have been taking it?
I found that after a few years the one I was prescribed 'pooped out' so my GP changed it. It was like my brain and body got used to the active ingredient ::). This has happened 5 times since 1989 ....... might be worth while discussing the lack of effect your current medication has.
Browse round. Make notes. :welcomemm:

Hi Karen- lots of changes going on with you and by the sounds of it, your low mood isn't being helped by the hormonal fluctuations. If you go down the HRT route, have a read at the tabs on this site and book a double appointment with your doc for a discussion. It might help you but regardless, you'll get lots of support on here ;) :welcomemm:
