Title: FSH
Post by: toffeecushion on April 22, 2015, 05:01:19 PM
I had my FSH tested last week and it came back at 8.6, which I understand to be low.  But does it make a difference to interpreting the results that I had it done 3 days before my period started?

Don't know - never had my hormone levels tested as my Gynae doesn't believe in it because of the variations throughout 24/7 ………

If you are still having periods then your level should be between 4.7 and 21.5. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003710.htm  However I was still having periods and mine was well over 100!

You are supposed to have the test between day 2 and 5 of your cycle. Day 1 is the day your period begins http://www.patient.co.uk/doctor/menopause-and-its-management
