Hello ladies.
I thought I'd borrow the Throw Back Thursday heading from the Twitter people for this one.
The last time I was at my GPs I noticed that she had a new picture on her wall, it was a reprint of a Victorian poster advertising Baldwins Nervous Pills. The tablets claimed to cure, amongst other things, Hysteria, Fear, Dread and Insomnia and all for 3 shillings a box! These were obviously aimed at menopausal women and I wonder what they contained? Laudanum ( aka morphine ) perhaps? I understand the Victorians were fond of that.
Just goes to show that the problems of the menopause have always been with us and various treatments for ever sought. I wouldn't mind trying one of those pills though!
Wishing everyone well.

:thankyou: did you ask why the necessity for the Poster?

At least more interesting to read while waiting for your turn to see the doctor!
