Has anyone not changed there address with there doctor when you have moved out of the area in order to be able to stay with the same doc?? I know at the beginning of the year the ruling was changed so you have the option to stay with your current doctor providing they agree to it.

I think you can remain in the Practice as long as it's within a certain mileage of your new home, i.e. 10 miles.

I think for us it's to do with home visits which our doctors do quite happily. We are about four miles away and are on the border of going to another GP which would also be four miles away ::)

We have 3 surgeries within a short distance. We have stuck with closest one though as it can be walked to within 5 minutes. Wanted to stay with GP we had when we first moved here, but they were not able to cover home visits.
