Title: Is it a virus or due to reducing my HRT?
Post by: warwick01 on March 19, 2015, 10:28:50 AM
Morning Ladies,

Just thought I would ask you ladies your opinion.

A week today I started with a flu virus, temp.sore throat etc. It is day 8 today and every night I wake up sweating profusely so the bed is wet. I also have a really dry mouth and can't swallow. As it's going on so long I am wondering if the sweating (sort of fever) is due to the virus or as Im into 4th week of reducing my HRT, could the sweats be due to that??

By the way I have not slept well since reducing and at the moment I feel very weak      :(

Can't comment on the fever thing but when I was reducing my HRT, every time I dropped a dose, it took a few weeks for my sleeping pattern to get back to normal.

after a week I would say your over the cold/flu, you'll know how you feel during the day.

what you describe is how I felt before starting on HRT.

always took water to bed as my throat would seem to dry up then too. not that it seemed to help.
