Title: runproof mascaras
Post by: Stellajane on March 11, 2015, 01:13:49 PM
Does anyone have a recommended product? Everything I try seems to cause smudging below my lower lashes even though I only ever apply it to my top lashes!

Oh - haven't used mascara for over 20 years  :D ……. but those I did use were run-proof - Rimmel, Maybelline?

Can't bear the thought of all that gunge around my eyes these days ……….

Boots No7 Stay perfect is the one I use. No smudges at all and does not run.
You can take this mascara off using just warm water.
I've had a problem with mascaras in the past, but this one I've stuck with for a few years.
Won't try any others now.

I remember buying blue mascara rather than black or brown ………. as well as the eye-liner above the top lashes and under neath, looked like a panda  ;D

Why are nearly all mascaras black or dark brown? I too am very fair. Ruby & Millie did a blonde one which was brilliant, but think they are out of business now.  If I wear one which is too dark, I look like I've got caterpillars for eyelashes.  ;D So I have to apply gingerly.

I have watery eyes a lot of the time and I find the following waterproof mascaras are best:
YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Waterproof
Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Volum Waterproof
Bourjois Pump Up The Volume Waterproof

I also use waterproof eyeliner and find that the best is Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer

You can get your eye lashes dyed. And then you only need to use clear mascara. Doesn't cost much and lasts for months.
My daughter has it done regularly and I have had mine done .....blue  ;D. I'm dark though so it looked ok. I'm welded to my mascara....I would take it to a desert island  ::)

Way too scared to let anyone near my eyelashes. MF did a great one for blue eyes & it made my eyes look amazing, but they've now stopped it. It was a grey/black & perfect for me.
