ladies which do you use if any, i always use a wet razor in the shower but the last couple of years i suffer with lower back, hip pain and iam finding it more difficult to shave in the shower so i was wondering about an electric shaver, tried 1 years ago and didnt find it very good but i wonder if they have improved? thoughts please kerrie

I have a Braun electric shaver. Can be used wet or dry. They are never as good as a wet shave but you could use hair removal cream.
Not something I have ever done, or go for a wax....ouch ;D

i have tried the removal cream several times but never found it fully effective and hate standing around naked waiting to get in the shower ;D i tried the one which you use in the shower and still felt there were missed bits
do you find the electric shaver good, is it that you have to use it a bit more often ? i dont like the bristle feeling
i have an epilator which i found really good but then i started to get ingrowing hairs, tried all sorts to stop them but never could so i gave up.
i have been down the waxing route sore :o

I have to say I just use the electric shaver in between wet shaving because it's not as good. I'm sure there are better ones than the one I have but they cost a lot of money.
Hubby once bought me an epilator...really...that was torture and was not that good. I sold it....who would buy a second hand epilator. ;D
I'm addicted to a razor....but not in the winter. I will get rid of my gorilla legs when the sun starts to shine.

Well I'm going to the GP in the morning and I'm going to have to drop my trousers...need to get the hedge clippers out...and I only want her to look at my hip ;D
Hairy legs keeps me warm in the winter and no one sees. Once hubby takes his glasses off , :P

Wet shave once a week. Dry shave never was close enough. Tried one of those electric epilators. Omg the pain! Waxing less painful.
-
In fact ...once I take my glasses off. ;D

hb you must feel though ?

With swimming things need to be "tidy" they are seen. :o
Armpits & bikini area - wet shave in shower.
Legs - epilator, every 2 weeks is about right. ::)
-
Wax for me but haven't been for a while so legs are hairy.
Always in trousers so I'll be ok until it gets warmer.
Underarms the same but will soon have to wet shave them.
-
HoneyB, I have the same one as you, have you ever used it in the shower?
-
Yes I have and it doesnt work any better to be honest.
I do shave during the winter just as not as much as when I'm wearing shorts. If you dont shave your legs they don't get bristly.
I don't swim that much so no one sees that either and as I said....hubby and glasses ;D

Holidays last year I got legs waxed. Poor girl could barely see hairs as I'm so fair. She asked me "Why bother, nobody can see them anyway?" I can & hate feeling bristley!

'Girly bits' get a thorough do (ie - all off!!) with an electric shaver. I do legs and underarms when I can be bothered (or when what I'm wearing means it's necessary) with a disposable blade razor, but use it dry - a bit of talc lets is glide easily.
-
scampi its the girly bits i worry about with electric shaver do you not get a rash ?
-
Hi Kerrieann. I worried about a rash when I first did it, but it's fine as long as I don't do all over too often!. I pat on some talc before I start as I've found it makes the shaver 'glide' better. And I take my time and let the shaver do the work without putting pressure on. I usually do it about once a month. Yes - there is re-growth, but I find the re-growth less irritating than shaving too often (and I shave my 'bits' for my own comfort, not for anyone else's benefit .... although hubby does like it!).
-
I can vouch for the dry shave with talc method. If I wet shave my legs they itch interminably for days afterwards and I end up scratching them till they bleed! :-X
-
scampi i also do it for my comfort and males me feel fresher plus like you say other half likes it too ;) i will give it a go with the talc kerrie

Neither :-\ unless the weather gets really, really, really hot ;D and I decide to get out of jeans into a 'frock'/skirt …… except under my arms when necessary ……. which isn't often required. My chin/upper lip however ……… :-X
-
ckld chin, i just pull them out with tweezers when i can catch the little blighters, one minute a little black dot that i cant pull, then it sprouts out :)
-
Have you any long, stiff white ones yet :-X
I use BIC razors in the bath, lots of soap on my legs and a gentle shave.
-
yes really strong white ones sometimes in the eyebrows, when i see them in my other halves eyebrows i love pulling them out ;D thet get quit long at times before i notice them
